You can be someone's answer.

Maybe you know someone, right now, who needs a word of hope, comfort or guidance. This guide exists to help you find, within the Gospel, what to say and how to say it.

01

Notice who needs it

In the parable of the Good Samaritan, two religious men walked past. Only one stopped to truly see the man who had fallen. The Gospel first asks for genuine attention to those around you.

02

Comfort before you speak

Facing Lazarus's tomb, knowing he was about to raise him, Jesus still wept with the grieving sisters (John 11:35). Be present in someone's pain before offering any answer.

03

Find the right word in the Gospel

We don't always know which passage applies. That is exactly why the Oracle exists: describe the situation, and search within the four Gospels for a concrete answer.

04

Say it simply, not as a sermon

Jesus summarized profound teachings in short, direct phrases. A true sentence, said at the right moment, with a friend's care, often carries more weight than a long speech.

05

Stay present

The Gospel doesn't ask for a single gesture. It asks for ongoing service, like Jesus washing his disciples' feet, expecting nothing in return.
